WorkSmart celebrates its 20th anniversary as a full-service, managed IT services company headquartered in Durham, North Carolina.
WorkSmart was founded in 2001 by Ron Unger and Clay Harris, while they attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Believing that technology should be a strategic tool for small businesses, they worked to help a handful of local businesses to find the right tools and processes to support the people.

We’re announcing the acquisition of LAN Systems of Berkeley Lake, Georgia. The purchase was finalized on March 1, 2021 and continues WorkSmart’s growth in Atlanta. By welcoming all former LAN Systems to the team, WorkSmart grows to over 100 employees.
Today, we’re sharing the news of our recent acquisition! RMS Associates of Smyrna, Georgia joins the WorkSmart community! The purchase was finalized on January 1, 2021.
