Critical Security Alert: Windows 10 Vulnerabilities

Microsoft issued critical security patches for multiple Windows 10 vulnerabilities that can allow remote log on.

Microsoft issued critical security patches for Windows 10 on August 13th and is warning all users to update their operating system immediately.  Microsoft discovered multiple vulnerabilities that can allow machines to spread malware without any user interaction.

If WorkSmart manages security patches for your workstations, these patches are being deployed through our normal process. To ensure proper installation, please leave your machines powered on in the evenings and over weekends as well as reboot at least weekly.

If WorkSmart does not have ManagedShield agents installed on your machines, check your machine to ensure that it is protected.  To check the status of or to install updates, click the Start   button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Also, restart your machine!

If you have any questions, please Help Desk (or call 888-484-1012, option 1).
