WorkSmart Recognized for Growth, Workplace Flexibility and Community Service
Research Triangle Park, N.C. – WorkSmart, a leading provider of Information Technology services and solutions in North Carolina, announced today their roster of awards received to date in 2009. They have had quite a successful year, filled with several incredible awards. Among them are awards for revenue growth, workplace flexibility and commitment to serving the Triangle community. While some of the awards are new recognitions, several are multi-year recognitions. These awards are a true testament of the quality of services provided by the organization.
WorkSmart has received recognition from the following organizations:
- Alfred P. Sloan Foundation awarded WorkSmart the 2009 Workplace Flexibility Award, highlighting their commitment to helping employees strike a work/life balance. As an honorable mention in last year’s award, WorkSmart is tremendously pleased to be announced as a winner in 2009.
- Triangle Business Journal’s 40 under 40 Award went to sales manager Bob Casey for contributions to his profession and community. Casey’s passion helped structure the relationship between WorkSmart and the NC Center for Nonprofits. CEO Ron Unger received this award in 2005.
- Triangle Business Journal ranked WorkSmart sixth on the list of Triangle networking companies based on revenue. They were previously ranked seventh in 2008 and eighth in 2007 (CONFIRM.
- INC listed WorkSmart on their list of 5000 fastest growing privately owned businesses in the country in 2007, 2008 and 2009, based on percentage growth in company net sales over a four-year period.
- Business Leader magazine ranked them among the top 100 small businesses in North Carolina the last two years. This award was based on revenue growth, business achievement, and community involvement.
- Recently, WorkSmart was nominated for the Durham Chamber Business Excellence Awards in the category of mid-size businesses. It was an honor to be recognized amongst great organizations.
WorkSmart serves over 200 business, non-profit and government agency clients throughout thirteen states on the east coast. The firm recently completed the acquisition of Charlotte-based Carolina Technology Solutions, giving the company a larger presence in the Queen city region.
