Local Small Business Teams with Corporate Giants on Government Projects
Durham, NC – Work Smart, North Carolina’s IT services firm for small-business, is no stranger to meeting diverse client needs. With offices in Charlotte and Durham and more than 150 clients spread throughout North Carolina and surrounding states, Work Smart has developed a reputation for delivering responsive and professional service to small businesses across a wide range of industries.
“Work Smart has enabled businesses to receive a level of service that was once reserved for larger firms. In the past, traditional IT services companies viewed clients with anywhere from 5 computers to 50 computers as ‘too small’ to merit their attention. Instead, these businesses had to go with smaller, less experienced firms. We’ve changed all that,” says Work Smart’s founder, Ronald Unger.
Work Smart, however, has not limited its valued-added services to private-sector companies. Last year, this North Carolina-based company began servicing government agencies, working alongside larger entrenched corporations like EDS, IBM, and Accenture. “Last year, we completed software programming projects for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a Department of Health and Human Services Installation in Bruceton, Pennsylvania. We also provided services at Camp Lejeune and other North Carolina facilities. We look forward to expanding our public-sector practice in 2004,” Unger stated.
In addition to its past work for government entities, Work Smart was recently awarded SDB Certification. The SDB Program is one of several programs offered by the Small Business Administration that help federal agencies streamline their procurement process while allowing small businesses to deliver valuable products and services alongside larger enterprises.
